Fishlake is a Yorkshire village with an interesting history.

Ancient church, connections to St Cuthbert, Mediaeval Crosses and Inland Port on the River Don. A South Yorkshire Gem.

The Fishlake History Society meets each month for discussions and presentations.

The proceedings of these meetings will be posted on this website. There is a considerable archive of photographs held by Fishlake’s Villagers, many of whom have agreed to share this interesting and valuable resource.

We are in the process of collating this archive of photographs. If you have any photographs you would like to share please contact us. Likewise if you recognise anybody in the photographs please contact us so that we can verify and update our collection.

In our virtual museum you will find photographs of objects pertaining to Fishlake and the way of life of its inhabitants over the years. If you can add to the museum, either with information or a photograph of an item please contact us. We hope you enjoy browsing the collections.

As at 04 December 2022 we have over 500 historical pictures, 45 articles and 164 documents.

The next meeting of the Fishlake History Society: Wednesday 20 th March 2.00 pm
